I had tried the first version of Activecollab that was too much of a clone of Basecamp by 37Signal but the latest version has evolved and really I like it a lot more than Basecamp. I tweaked the code a bit to have a detailed ticket&task view while viewing the milestones and added some quick links in the dashboard and really I think I'll stick with it ... at least for a while, since the quest for a good project management system or task management system has been a never ending quest so far !
