Après Reddit, c’est au tour de Jotspot d’annoncer avoir été aquis. Par Google cette fois. Je ne connaissais pas vraiment Jotspot mais il semble que ce sera un bon complément pour Google Docs & Spreadsheet.
Lu sur Techcrunch, Reddit, un concurrent de Digg a été acquis par Condé Nast / Wired. Est-ce que Digg sera le prochain a être vendu?
La nouvelle version de Windows Media Player est disponible au téléchargement dès maintenant et offre plusieurs nouvelles fonctions très intéressantes. Pour ceux qui n’aimaient pas Windows Media auparavant, cela pourrait changer avec cette version.

Thank you Stéphane for posting about QuickSynergy. I knew the software existed before I started using a Macbook laptop … but I never tried it. Since I started using my Macbook, I am messing with an alternate computer with Windows XP (in order to run Photoshop) both at Home and at the Office. So when I saw Stephane’s post I jumped on the link and installed QuickSynergy on OSX, configured it as the server. Then I installed Synergy on my Windows XP computer and configured it as the client. In less than 5 minutes I was up and running, controlling both my OSX laptop and my Windows XP computer with the same mouse and keyboard. It even allows me to cut and paste between computers. No hardware needed, running in 5 minutes. It uses the network to send the informations between computers.
Now that I liked it, I took some time to reconfigure my Linux desktop that I was not using anymore (I do not have time and I don’t like to switch keyboards, mouse, position to use them. I installed Kubuntu in less than 15 minutes, installed QuickSynergy on it and I am now using my Windows desktop, my OSX laptop and my Linux desktop at the same time with 3 different screens and the same mouse and keyboard. No switches to press, only as a display extension but for 3 different computers. I think I will not be able to live without it in some days.
A little visit on Mashable allowed me to learn that PageFlakes presents a new version with a new design (now very similar to Netvibes). The new design is nice. I think I prefer PageFlake’s design over Netvibes. It is similar but it looks like PageFlakes design is more refined. I think my French friends will attack me on this one if they read my blog !
Bon … les gens capotent parce que Lucien Bouchard a dit que les Québécois ne travaillent pas assez. J’ai entendu sur LCN que la moyenne d’heures travaillées par semaine au Québec est de 33 heures ! Ce serait 35 heures en Ontario et plus aux États-Unis. 33 heures ! Ceci dit, ça ne veut pas dire que TOUS les québécois ne travaillent pas assez, calmez vos hormones, certains travaillent fort, mais globalement en tant que société le portrait semble pas trop fort.
On fait quoi en 33 heures? Pas grand choses je dirais. Si on veut créer de la richesse, il est certain qu’il faut travailler plus. C’est vrai pour un entrepreneur, c’est vrai pour un employé, c’est vrai pour la population québécoise. Pensez-vous que les fondateurs de YouTube, qui ont vendu pour 1.6 Milliard, faisaient des semaines de 33 heures? Je vous laissent y réfléchir !
